ARDNAVE CALVES SELL TO 224 PENCE PER KILO
United Auctions held their Annual June Sale of 229 Cattle and 137 Sheep at Islay Auction Mart.  All classes of Cattle sold at high levels with cattle which were at grass proving in more popular demand than housed cattle.  Sheep sold in keeping with current trends.  Limousin Yearling Heifers from Lossit Farm sold to £840.  Bullock Calves from Coillabus (Carmichael) and Ardnave Farm sold to £825.  Ardnave Farm also led the prices per kilo with Bullocks selling to 224 pence and Heifers to 208 pence.  Breeding Cattle from Eorrabus sold to £1400.

BARRA BULLOCKS SELL TO £960 AT DALMALLY
United Auctions held their Annual June Sale of all classes Cattle & Sheep at Dalmally Auction Mart.  A good offering of Grazing & Breeding Cattle sold at keen rates.  A record entry of Ewes with Lambs at foot fetched high values.  All classes of Store Sheep were also in keen demand.  Charolais Bullocks from 10 Eoligarry, Barra sold to £960 and Limousin Bullocks from the same home sold to 211pence per kilo. Charolais Cross Heifers from Cairnbaan, Benderloch, sold to £705 and Limousin Cross Heifers from Salum, Tiree sold to 183 pence per kilo.  Breeding Cattle from Drimore Farm, Uist sold to £930.  Cross Ewes with Lambs at foot sold to £121 from Clachan, Tiree whilst Blackface Ewes with Lambs at foot from Ellery Farms sold to £102.  Store Wedder Hoggs sold to £59 for Blackface from Corrylorn and Eild Ewes sold to £58 from Caolis, Coll.
