Tuesday 4th October - Ram sale report
United Auctions sold 6337 NC Cheviot Gimmers and Ewes at their annual sale on Tuesday4th October.
Ewes (5384) averaged £79.26 (up £10.88 on the year) selling to a top of £150 twice from Achentoul Farms, Kinbrace and also J Campbell, Armadale.
Gimmers (953) averaged £123.24 (down £7.10 on the year) selling to a top of £180 and £175 from A MacKay, South Balkeith. “With a ringside of buyers from throughout the UK and Ireland all classes of ewe met an exceptional trade; while a plainer show of gimmers met a selective demand.”

Saturday (10th September 2011) United Auctions sold 6149 lambs at their second sale . All classes maintaint the trend set at the first sale showing an upward trend with long keep types being especially easily sold.
4564 Wedder lambs sold to average £53.05 per head up £2.65 on the year selling to £67.50 from Rhanich, Edderton
1585 Ewe Lambs sold to average £56.63 per head up £5.01 on the year selling to £86 from Culnaha Farm, Nigg
