United Auctions (Tuesday 2nd October 2012) sold 6349 NC Cheviot gimmers and ewes at their annual sale. 

Ewes (5275) averaged £77.34 (-£1.92 on the year) selling to £170 for a pen from J Moffat, Forrest Farm, Criok. 
Gimmers (1066) averaged £131.40 (+£8.16 on the year) selling to £200 from Elsdonburn, Wooler.

United Auctions (Tuesday 2nd October 2012) sold 277 NC Cheviot rams. 
“With an outstanding abundance of buyers, quality was short of demand and a new record was set when Robert MacDonald, Castle Grant Home Farm sold his two shear ram at £17,000 in a two way split to Charlie Symons, Attonburn and Ted Fox, Elsdonburn.”
The 277 rams sold to average £952 (-£79 on the year)

United Auctions (8th September 2012) sold 5573 lambs at their second sale. 

“With lambs being shown in good bloom considering the weather, trade was electric, selling at levels unseen anywhere this year”.
Wedder lambs (3897) averaged £55.68 per head (+£2.63 on the year) selling to £68 for Tex crosses from Cuilaneilan, Kinlochewe and to £66.50 for Cheviots from Balnakeil, Blackhaugh. 
Ewe Lambs (1376) averaged £57.71 per head (+£1.42 on the year) selling to £90 from Culnaha, Nigg.
