Stirling Bull Sales

The world-famous Perth Bull Sales were established in 1865.  They now take place at the company's new headquarters at Stirling and in July 2012 were officially renamed as the Stirling Bull Sales to reflect the new location. The pedigree bull sales are held in October, February and May each year. The sales attract thousands of visitors from home and abroad and are an integral part of the farming calendar. The main pedigree breeds comprise Aberdeen-Angus, Beef Shorthorn, Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, British Blue, British Blonde and Salers.

Coldrochie Beef Shorthorn Dispersal

Douglas McMillan’s Perthshire based Coldrochie Beef Shorthorn herd is to be dispersed at United Auctions, Stirling in two parts this spring.

The autumn calving portion together with a crop of young bulls will be sold at the February Stirling Bull Sales, while the spring calving portion will be dispersed in May.

The sale, which is taking place due to the owner’s retirement, offers one of the most exciting opportunities in recent years to source genetics.

The herd has an excellent health and production record.  Bulls and draft females have met a strong demand at the Stirling sales.

Coldrochie stock has achieved considerable success at both national and local shows.

Over the two sales, approximately 110 lots will be offered, comprising:  72 cows and breeding heifers with calves at foot, 24 maiden heifers, 10 production bulls and 4 stock bulls.

Full details in due course.
